                                                                        Welp...
Stephen was raised in the quaint little borough of Naugatuck, CT. He graduated from the University Of Connecticut with a BA in Media Studies and Creative Writing. It was at UConn that he began to realize (after doing countless musicals, comedies, and video sketches during his adolescence) what art forms theater and film-making could be. Learning about the history and evolution of both domestic and foreign films. Writing, directing, editing, and starring in his own short films. Being given the 'Best Actor' award by the Theater Department his senior year and being selected to compete in the KCACTF-Irene Ryan Awards (Finalist). These were the real galvanizing factors that motivated him to move to New York City  pursue a career in acting. After graduating college, he was the lead singer of a hard-rock band based out of Hartford County called 'Wayside Crossing' and was also working as a bartender in downtown Hartford and a behavior technician at a group home for boys in New Britain. The income from these three 'gigs' went directly into his savings account aka his 'I Can't Believe I'm Actually Moving To New York City To Become An Actor' Fund.

He moved to New York City, got a day job, and auditioned for and was accepted into the prestigious and highly competitive Stella Adler Studio Of Acting's 3-year Conservatory. In the 10-month interim between auditioning and starting school, he decided to explore other paths to accomplish "truth in imaginary circumstances". He studied with Terry Schreiber & Louise Lasser concurrently until he began at Adler and then later studied with Larry Moss and Sam Schacht during his 4-month summer breaks. He truly flourished at Adler and left with a real sense of purpose, drive, and self-confidence. He became a better person, a 'fuller' person, a more 'aware' person. Since graduating, he has performed at the Irish Rep Theatre, The Box, Symphony Space, St. Luke's Theatre, the Duke@42nd St., the LAByrinth Theater, New York Theatre Workshop, Primary Stages, the Tokyo Galaxy Theater, & Playwrights Horizons, to name a few.  And the amazing adventure continues. He is a professional actor working & living in New York City and that ain't bad. The city and the 'industry' have been strange bedfellows, to be sure, and his opinion of both fluctuates on a weekly basis, but one thing that remains constant is the love of his craft and the love of the work. There is no doubt in his mind that this is what he is meant to do. That he has been called upon to help move the human race forward through his art. He could not ask for a higher honor than that. He also loves peanut butter, sharks, and shaving...
